The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Pick 'n' Roll: Today's best NBA bets

Philadelphia 76ers at Toronto Raptors (-5, 201.5)

While the Toronto Raptors continue to plan for the future by dumping cash from their salary cap, they’re actually making Raps bettors a bundle lately covering three straight and five of their last six.

Their latest victory was easily the most impressive as they downed the Boston Celtics 102-101 on a pair of late free throws from Amir Johnson, while Andrea Bargnani led the club with 29 points.

What made the win even more surprising was the fact that the Raps were playing shorthanded after sending Jarrett Jack, David Andersen and guard Marcus Banks to the Hornets on Saturday for guard Jerryd Bayless and Peja Stojakovic.

"When I got fouled I knew already I was going to make the free throws because I was hitting them all game," Johnson told reporters. "My (confidence level) was definitely up."

That’s exactly what Toronto coach Jay Triano is looking for with his young Raptors. Toronto may be heading for yet another losing season, but they’ll play hard looking for jobs.

We like them to keep the winning streak going against a Philadelphia club that’ll be playing the second half of a back-to-back.

Pick: Raptors

San Antonio Spurs at Minnesota Timberwolves (+8, 213.5)

Sometimes a talented team just needs some time to get used to one another. The San Antonio Spurs are proving to be a perfect example of that.

Last year the club was inconsistent as they integrated Richard Jefferson, Antonio McDyess and DeJuan Blair into the lineup. This year is a completely different story as the Spurs have jumped out of the gate with a 12-1 record straight up while going 9-3-1 against the spread.

San Antonio picked up its 11th straight win in a back-and-forth battle against the Orlando Magic 106-97 as a 3.5-point favorite. A lot of things are going right for the Spurs including their outside shooting. They hit 12 of their 19 trey attempts against the Magic and are now shooting better than 44 percent from outside the arc on the season.

"Both teams, for a stretch there, it was like a three-point contest and no one was going to give in,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich told reporters after the game. “That was pretty incredible. It was a heck of an NBA game."

Look for the Spurs to continue their winning ways against the lowly Timberwolves. Minnesota just doesn’t have the defense to hold San Antonio in check.

Pick: Spurs

College Funds: Today's best NCAAB bets

UCLA Bruins at Villanova Wildcats (N/A)

After enduring a tough season last year, UCLA is looking to bounce back with a club that doesn’t have a senior on the roster. The Bruins and their six freshmen face off against Villanova in the semifinals of the NIT Tuesday.

Reeves Nelson and Tyler Honeycutt will need to have big years for UCLA to be competitive on a nightly basis and they know what’s expected of them.

"I'm expecting a double-double from Reeves and Honeycutt (every game)," coach Ben Howland told reporters. "Those guys are capable of averaging double-doubles for the year. There's no doubt about that. I've talked to both of them about that - double-doubles on a consistent basis."

Nelson leads the club with 19.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game while Honeycutt’s putting up 15.7 points and 8.3 boards per contest, so they aren’t far off the coach’s expectations.

UCLA’s defense has also been pretty good as it held Pacific to just 25 percent shooting when they booked a 57-44 win as 8.5-point favorites the last time they took the court. They’ll need another strong defensive effort against a Wildcats club that’s posting 80 points per game, but we think the Bruins will keep this one close.

Pick: UCLA

North Dakota State Bison at Minnesota Golden Gophers (N/A)

Look out for the Golden Gophers, folks. They’re out to make a major statement to the rest of the nation early this season.

In winning the Puerto Rico Tip-Off they had to get past the likes of Western Kentucky, North Carolina and West Virginia and are now 5-0 on the season while covering four of five pointspreads.

Trevor Mbakwe has been the go-to guy for the Gophers, averaging 15.3 points and 8.7 rebounds in the club’s last three wins to earn the Big Ten’s Co-Player of the Week honors.

"He's got the physique. He's got the mental toughness. He's got the physical toughness," coach Tubby Smith told reporters. "I think he gets the most out of his athleticism."

But Mbakwe isn’t the only Gopher stepping up. Smith is leaning on his depth early in the year, using wholesale five-player subs at a time to get everyone involved. Smith also says his second unit can really give his starters a run for their money during practice.

We’ll put our money on that depth to make the difference against North Dakota.

Pick: Minnesota

Ice picks: Today's best NHL bets

Pittsburgh Penguins at Buffalo Sabres (N/A)

The Penguins are gaining ground in the Atlantic Division, picking up their third straight win in a 3-2 victory over the Florida Panthers Monday.

The Pens have won five of their last six outings and improved to 6-4 in November with Monday’s win. A big part of that success is the play of special teams, namely the penalty-kill unit. Pittsburgh has killed 37 of 39 power plays chances this month, including their past 17 over the last five games.

The Penguins will need that toughness on the penalty kill to continue with a nasty stretch of game set for the end of November. They’ve played 10 games this month and Monday’s contest was the first of five games in an eight-game span.

Expect Pittsburgh to continue to grind out close games during this stretch. It has played under the number twice in its last four meetings with Buffalo while the teams have stayed below the total in 18 of their last 28 games at HSBC Arena.

Pick: Under

Los Angeles Kings at Montreal Canadiens (-125, 5)

Life is tough on the road for any team. But the Los Angeles Kings are coming off one of the most crushing defeats of the season, in their 3-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators Monday.

The Kings thought they had tied the score with a deflected goal from Ryan Smyth with only three seconds left in the third period. However, the goal was reviewed by the NHL and ruled a high stick, handing L.A. its second loss of its four-game road trip, which wraps in Montreal Wednesday.

"That happens sometimes, and you've got to fight through that and overcome those types of things,'' Smyth told reporters. "It's frustrating when they are pretty obvious. That's what they were saying, that our video coaches were saying, that it was a good goal. So it's frustrating, but we've got to overcome those type things."

The sad-sack Kings roll into the Bell Centre, one of the toughest rinks to visit in the NHL, to play the Habs, who have won seven of their 12 home tilts this season. Montreal has won four straight games against Los Angeles and is 4-0 the last four times hosting the Kings.

Pick: Montreal

Bettors' Best Friend (BBF): Wednesday's Wagering Tips

Who's Hot

San Antonio Spurs have won 10 straight and have covered in each of their last six.

Toronto Raptors have covered in five of their last six.

Oklahoma City Thunder have won and covered in five straight games.

Detroit Red Wings have won eight of their last 10 games.

Who’s Not

Milwaukee Bucks have dropped their last three straight up and against the spread.

Charlotte Bobcats are 2-6-2 ATS in their last 10 home games.

Miami Heat have covered just once in their last nine games.

New Orleans Hornets have dropped five in a row against the number.

New York Islanders have lost 13 games in a row.

Washington Capitals have lost three in a row allowing 15 goals over that span.

Key Stat

5.17: Charlotte Bobcats point guard D.J. Augustin’s assist to turnover ratio, which leads the NBA. The Bobcats have been up-and-down this season but have a good basis to build on with Augustin handling the ball. Charlotte hosts the New York Knicks on Wednesday.

Injury That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

Vince Carter (knee) Orlando Magic – Carter, who’s averaging 13.9 points per game, had an MRI on his knee and it came back negative, but he remains a game-time decision for Wednesday’s game against the Miami Heat. He said he felt a sharp pain under his left kneecap during Monday’s game and said that he couldn’t “explode” on the leg after that. Insert non-dunking joke here.

Game Of The Day

New Orleans Hornets at Utah Jazz (-4, 192.5)

Notable Quotable

"The key is going to be how well we play together. The level of explosiveness and athleticism VCU has is something we haven't seen, and we have to be careful they don't run away from us. This is a big step for us.” – Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl on his club’s matchup with VCU on Wednesday. Pearl will serve and eight-game suspension for violating NCAA regulations that will begin in SEC league play on Jan. 8.

Tips And Notes

There is seems to be some tension in the New Jersey Nets’ locker room. Terrence Williams will be inactive for two games beginning Tuesday night against the Atlanta Hawks, for "repeatedly violating team policy." The team wouldn’t specify what the violation consisted of, but coach Avery Johnson said it was something the team has been dealing with “for the past two or three weeks.” That means Williams will be out of the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Boston Celtics. The former first-round pick is averaging 6.8 points and 3.8 assists per game.

Raymond Felton has a permanent green light to put it up from New York Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni. New York’s point guard is averaging 13 shots while putting up 17.5 points and 7.6 assists per game. The Knicks have won four straight with all four games playing over the total.

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller practiced on Tuesday, but won’t be goal Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Sabres are being very careful with his groin injury as he won’t even be on the bench as the backup to Patrick Lalime, who is 0-4 with a .891 save percentage.
